ABLE vs FAITHFUL

To be "Able" is to have the necessary physical strength, mental power, skill, time, money or opportunity to do something.
To be "Faithful" in this context is to be loyal, true, not changing any of the details, facts, style etc of the original.
For as much history as i know, i can tell that since the days of the Lewinsky issue vs white house, no man's infidelity has shocked the world like that of the man that inspired this write up....Tiger Woods.
His wasn't the first case of a man looking outside his home to gratify his longings. What made his case different? I think it was the fact that when we looked at him we saw everything that was right with the world, career focused from an early age, striving and eventually gaining mastery of his art, falling in love and having a home with his love, in summary he was Perfect Golfer+perfect husband& father= perfect man. This is the kind of man the world models after, so much so we forget with each life comes a story, flaws, issues, challenges, failings, weaknesses... I believe sometimes this "perfect men" by our judgment need to fail so we all can know that phrase doesn't even exist, and that mastering an art and mastering your monster are two different things and two sides of a coin that everyone of us must conquer.
Begin with your childhood, some of the Michael Jacksons and Tiger Woods of this world did not even have the luxury of been children, of having been able to grow without the art and the early fame. In each case they chose to escape from all of it. The former relived his childhood even in his 40s before his shocking death surrounded by toys and kids and charged for abusing them severally. The latter on the other hand has been recently discovered to have an addiction to sex and a strange taste in the women he chose, away from the dignity and poise that comes with the game he champions, he escapes into this wild and dirty world. I dare say, most times, before you heal the man you will need to meet and deal with the boy he was, the fears he had, the moments he missed and cannot relive, the moments he had and wished he never did....
Its about time we stop celebrating only the able men and having our children see them as role models or heroes, because time and time again, they will fail us and our kids will stop believing. To every man there should be a balance, been able is something that one learns, practices and excels at, but to be faithful is who you are, and who people trust, believe in and rely on. I will rather a man who is faithful and not famous, than one who is famous yet not true to his word, his love and his maker.

TO ALL THE MEN WHO DAILY STRIVE TO ATTAIN A BALANCE, SET AN EXAMPLE IN GODLINESS AND CHARACTER, TO MY MAN WHO GIVES ME A REASON TO BELIEVE, TO MY FATHER WHO TAUGHT ME DISCIPLINE..... HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
